Deadly petrol bomb attack on Chinese bank
A petrol bomb attack on a bank has caused significant deaths and injuries.
The bomb was thrown at 0900 local time (0100 GMT) at the bank in Gansu province, in the north-west of the country.
There are not yet any details of the perpetrator or motive of the attack.
The explosion happened in Wuwei city in Tianzhu Tibetan Autonomous County, where about a third of the 210,000 residents are said to be Tibetan.
 
Twin bombings at Pakistan paramilitary base 'kill 69'
A twin bomb attack on a paramilitary force academy in north-western Pakistan has killed at least 69 people.
The blast took place at the training centre in Shabqadar, Charsadda district. According to the reports, two suicide bombers carried out the attack.
It is the bloodiest attack since US forces killed al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden in the town of Abbottabad, northern Pakistan, on May 2nd.
The attack happened as newly trained cadets from the Frontier Corps were getting into buses for a short leave after completing their course.
 
Bin Laden death: Security fears for US Navy Seal team
The US is to tighten security around the elite military unit that killed Osama Bin Laden.
The US Navy Seal team had expressed concerns over their safety and that of their families.
Al-Qaeda has vowed to avenge the death of its leader in the helicopter-borne raid on his compound in Abbottabad, northern Pakistan.
Threats against US forces had increased since Bin Laden's death.
 
Mexico deputy prison governor decapitated in Durango
Police in Mexico have found eight decapitated bodies in the northern state of Durango.
Among the dead was the deputy governor of Durango’s prison, who had been abducted on Monday.
Gerardo Galindo's head was found next to a wall bearing a threatening message by a local drug gang.
Prison officials are increasingly being targeted by drug gangs, whose jailed members often continue to run their businesses from behind bars.
In February, the security chief of a prison in the northern city of Monterrey was murdered.
His dismembered body was found in a plastic box inside a car abandoned near the prison he worked at.
Officials have not yet identified the remaining seven bodies found in Durango.
The state's murder rate has risen steeply in recent years as rival gang’s battle for control of the drugs trade in the area.
